Sewing and Shipping Your Order
SEWING YOUR ORDER
Sew Cathy Sew is a small owner operated New Zealand business - which means no large premises, and not a lot of storage space.
So I make many of my products upon receipt of your order - such as the Baby Splat Mats, Merino Wraps and Hats, Reusable Bowl Covers, Linen Aprons and Infinity Silk Scarves.
If a product is shown as being 'in stock', this indicates that I already have the materials with which to sew the product, or I can source the materials promptly (if the product has not already been made).
I will always do my best to have these products ready to ship to you within 5-10 working days of receiving your order.
I hope you'll agree that it's worth waiting a little while for a beautiful and useful product, hand made in New Zealand especially for you.
SHIPPING YOUR ORDER
Shipping costs a flat rate of $6.50 to urban delivery addresses and $9.00 to rural delivery (RD) addresses, anywhere within New Zealand.
Shipping costs are based on the rates set by the courier/shipping companies.
Depending on the shipping destination, currently I use GoSweetSpot, Castle Parcels, Post Haste, Pass The Parcel, NZ Post).
Parcels are sent tracked, no signature (authority to leave in letterbox).
I routinely ship parcels twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. When possible, I also try to ship parcels on Mondays and Wednesdays.
I often process orders for shipping the previous afternoon/evening, at which time a shipping notification email is sent to you.
Once shipped from Auckland, your parcel can take between 1-5 working days to reach you.
The time your parcel takes to reach you depends on where you are located in New Zealand (Auckland/North Island/South Island/rural delivery).
In addition, there could be shipping delays in various parts of New Zealand during the period your parcel is being shipped.
At this time, shipping is only available within New Zealand.
